Kawhi Leonard’s History

Kawhi Leonard was born and grew up in Los Angeles California. He was the youngest of 5 having 4 older sisters.

He went to Martin Luther King High School then later attended San Diego State University where he won MWC Tournament Most Valuable Player in his freshmen year then in his sophomore year he was named to the Second Team All-America and entered the NBA Draft in 2011.

In the 2011 NBA Draft Leonard was taken 15th overall by the Indiana Pacers but was Traded to the San Antonio Spurs the same night. Kawhi made is first NBA Finals appearance in 2011 but falling short and loosing to the Miami Heat but later facing them again in 2014 where they won the series 4-1 with Kawhi winning finals MVP.

Kawhi Leonard was traded to the Toronto Raptors in the summer of 2018 after requesting a trade. As of right now the Toronto Raptors are facing up against the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals with the series tied 2-2. The winner of the series will have home court advantage against the Golden Stat Warriors in the NBA Finals,
